Servestock 2010

On June 17, 2010 Serve! will host our annual Serve!stock event (formerly known as Barenaked in Rosedale).  This unique fundraiser features musical guests in an informal and intimate session nestled in a private Rosedale backyard.  Previous musical talents have included Carole Pope, Alan Doyle, Randy Bachman, Jim Cuddy, Ron Sexsmith, Jarvis Church, Feist, The Barenaked Ladies and many others.  It is truly an exclusive Canadian experience!

Serve!stock is a unique event hosted by Colin Mochrie (Whose line is it anyway?) and Seamus O’Regan (CTV’s Canada AM), that consistently earns rave reviews by the 400 guests and media that have been attending this annual fundraiser for the past seven years. The casual yet elegant evening has guests enjoying coolers, beer, wine, hors d’oeuvres and a gourmet barbecue while renown Canadian musicians play and often jam on stage.  Serve!stock is the launch to Toronto’s summer.  Confirmed performers for 2010 are: Kathleen Edwards, Arkells and Lighthouse.

Throughout the night, there is a silent and a live auction that is incorporated into the entertainment. The live and silent auction is a central feature of the evening and bidding in the past has been very competitive for items such as: a dinner for 8 with Colin Mochrie (from Whose line is it anyways?), a weekend in Paris, a cruise with The Barenaked Ladies, and marvelous rare and collectible wines from some of the largest cellars in the city.

Over the past five years Serve!stock has raised over $725,000 for Serve!

Serve! is a non-profit that engages diverse and at-risk youth in experience-based education, teamwork and community involvement so that they may establish personal direction, overcome obstacles, achieve goals and become involved citizens and leaders.
